A video to prompt generator studies a reference video and turns what it sees into text instructions for an AI video model. This tool goes further than a single summary: it creates an editable shot list with timecodes, downloadable frames, sound notes and prompts formatted for different models.

How do I turn a video into an AI prompt?

Upload a short MP4, MOV or WebM file, select Generate Video Prompt, then review the shot descriptions against the source preview. Correct anything the analysis misunderstood, choose your AI video model and copy the prompt one shot at a time.

Is this video to prompt tool free and ad-free?

Yes. The public version is free, requires no account or payment details, and does not place an ad gate in front of the result. It currently allows up to three analyses per visitor each day, subject to a small site-wide daily capacity.

Can I convert an MP4, MOV or WebM video to a prompt?

Yes. Upload an MP4, MOV or WebM file strictly below 20 MiB (20,971,520 bytes) and no longer than 60 seconds. If the browser cannot read the file, re-export it as an H.264 MP4 and try again.

What does the video to prompt result include?

You get an editable shot list with timecodes, visible and audible details, real start, reference and end frame downloads, plus a complete prompt pack. Each model version explains which frame to upload, which prompt to paste and how to assemble the generated clips.

Which AI video models can I create prompts for?

The tool formats prompts for Veo, Kling, Runway, Seedance and Sora, plus a general version. Runway focuses on a starting image and motion, Veo separates visual and audio direction, Kling can use start and end frames, and Seedance assigns reference material a specific role.

Why are the prompts different for Veo, Kling, Runway, Seedance and Sora?

The models accept different controls and respond to different prompt structures. Every version uses the same reviewed analysis, but changes the frame instructions, motion wording, timeline and sound sections to fit the selected workflow. Switching versions does not make another AI call.

Why does the tool split a video into separate shots?

A cut changes the scene, composition or camera setup. Creating one prompt per shot gives you more control and makes a weak result easier to replace. Generate the shots separately, trim them to the source timing and join them in the listed order.

Which video keyframes should I use?

Use the START frame for a first-frame workflow and the END frame when your model supports first-and-last-frame guidance. The REFERENCE frame comes from the middle of the shot and helps you compare appearance. Reanalyze older results if real start and end frames are missing.

Can a video prompt recreate the original video exactly?

No tool can recover the original prompt, random seed, model settings or editing process from a rendered video. Treat the result as a strong starting point. Identity, complex motion, exact timing, readable text and sound can still require several generations or a final edit.

What do observed facts and inferred details mean?

Observed fields describe evidence that is visible or audible in the source. Inferred fields are interpretations, such as whether an apparent zoom came from camera movement or digital scaling. Inferences stay outside the copyable shot prompt so you can review them first.

Does video to prompt recognize dialogue, music and sound effects?

The free analysis asks the AI to review both the visual and audio streams, including dialogue, music and sound effects. It is not a guaranteed transcript and does not separate audio tracks, so check important words and sound cues against the original video.

What happens to my uploaded video?

This site does not save the uploaded video or extracted frames to its own disk in the public version. A stateless relay sends the video to the configured AI provider for analysis, and your browser creates temporary frame downloads. Provider-side handling follows that provider's terms, so avoid sensitive uploads.

Can I paste a YouTube or social video link?

Not in the current public version. Download a video you are entitled to use and upload the file directly. Link analysis will only be added after it can be offered reliably without hiding the core upload workflow.

Why did my video analysis fail or look inaccurate?

Check the file type and 60-second duration, and keep the file strictly below 20 MiB (20,971,520 bytes). The daily capacity may also be full, or the AI provider may time out. If the result is inaccurate, compare each shot with its timestamp, edit one field at a time and regenerate only the shot that needs work.
